Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier is a Team PokerStars Pro who, before getting into poker, was one of the top Starcraft players in the world. When he switched from gaming to poker, Grospellier had immediate success, finishing 2nd in the 2007 EPT Scandinavian Open in Copenhagen for $400K. Following that, Bertrand claimed his first victory in January 2008 by winning the EPT PokerStars Caribbean Poker Adventure for $2 million, then went on to win his first WPT event later that same year, the Festa Al Lago for $1.4 million. In 2009, Grospellier once again made noise at the Caribbean Poker Adventure, this time winning the High Rollers event for $433K, and then succeeded it by making another WPT final table, 3rd for $776K at the Five Star World Poker Classic.

Grospellier’s other achievements include becoming the first person to ever reach “Supernova Elite” on PokerStars, and setting the Guinness World Record for most Single Table Sit & Go’s in one hour – 62.  Bertrand has amassed over $5.5 million in live tournament earnings.
